Potty Training

I was in his room, putting toys away when I hear him charging up the stairs yelling "I have to go pee"! I meet him in the bathroom and his independent side kicks right on in. He grabs the seat, locks it on to the toilet, pushes his potty (now being used as a stool) over to the toilet and climbs up. I sat back watching, thinking I know my child and I just KNEW this way would be a huge success. He asked to flush a few times and I explained to him that he can only flush after he goes pee or poop in the toilet. He sat for a while danging his feet, not saying much. A few minutes later he was done (having not done a thing) and did his routine in reverse. He climbed down, pushed his potty chair against the wall and took the potty seat off of the toilet. I instructed him to grab his undies so I could put them on him and that's when I realized. He didn't pee on the toilet because he had already done so. Before he did the independent routine, before, I'm sure, he even came charging up the stairs.
Its okay. I love that he loves this way of training and we'll go through a billion undies (well, he's only got 3 pairs) until we get it right!
